Bicker Preparatory School and Early years educates children from the age of three to eleven years.

School Times
For children in the Nursery school we are able to offer both full and part-time schooling, for non statutory aged children. There will be a consultation between the parents and the Head of the Nursery department to establish which choice of admission is the best suited for your child. A full day attendance is from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm.
For Upper School children at Key Stages 1 and 2 the school day is from 8.50am until 3.30pm. Children who do not require early morning care are expected to arrive at school after 8:30 a.m. in order to be ready for their first lesson.

  • First period of work commences at 8.50am.
  • Children are asked not to bring money or valuables to school. Thank you
  • Girls are asked to come to school with long hair tied back. All hair ties/bands/ribbons should be navy or red in accordance with school uniform. Nail varnish is not worn in school. Girls with pierced ears may wear small. plain studs during the school day.
Arrival and departure to and from school
Early arrival facilities and after school clubs are available for your convenience. This enables you to book school care from 8:00 am should you so wish. After school clubs finish at 4:30 pm.
Parents bringing children by car are asked to please enter the village by Red Lion Street and exit using Monument Road. This system will alleviate traffic problems and disruption to the residents of School Lane. At 3:30p.m. it is helpful if parents can park on School Lane, rather than using Red Lion Street. Red Lion Street is a drop off point for School buses at this time, We try to keep it clear of parked vehicles for safety reasons. Thank you.
If your child is to be collected by someone other than yourself it is essential that the school office is informed.
Discipline
To encourage a sense of order in any establishment, discipline is exercised. Children need to know what is and what is not expected of them. Self discipline is the ultimate goal.
The Principal has the right to remove a child in extreme circumstances
