Winter Sport's Challenge Day for Years 1 to 6.
On 21st February Upper School children took part in a golfing challenge during the morning and then played hockey, football and multisports during the afternoon. The weather was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the activities in the hall and on the playing field.
Sports Results are posted on this website at the bottom of the Sporting Opportunities page.

Mayfield Nature Reserve.
Mr. Page Junior is keeping the children informed of what is happening
on the Nature Reserve in between their visits.
Please see the Nature Reserve website page for his latest photographs.
Class 4 and 5 had the most amazing time at Mayfields Nature Reserve. Everyone came warmly dressed, so the weather was no problem at all. We tracked voles, foxes, muntjak and roe deer, rabbits and swans! We found animal footprints, droppings, chewed grass etc. The children also loved dissecting the owl pellets and identifying what animals had been eaten. We decided that the owls had eaten 3 animals in an 8 hour period. The hot chocolate was delicious and we would like to thank Mr and Mrs Page Junior for all their hard work in planning the day. We are all looking forward to our next trip. For photos, look at the
'Nature at our Heart' page on this website.
Success!

This week we were delighted to receive a parcel from the firemen at St. Nicolas du Pelem, Brittany, France. The helium balloon found by some children from Bicker Prep was sent back to France by Class 4. It had travelled 975 km. This was the furthest of the 127 balloons released in France on 19th November.
The firemen were so pleased to hear from us and were impressed with the decorated le
...
tter we sent to them that they informed the local press. There were articles in four French newspapers complimenting us on our French language and our pictures of the Eiffel tower and the firemen.
The parcel included lots of photos, postcards of their beautiful village in Brittany, some delicious biscuits, a french teddy, some calendars and two lovely French children's books.
We have learnt from this experience that if we respond positively to people we can easily make new friendships and in all sorts of places.
We are looking forward to replying to our new friends and would welcome suggestions of what we could sent to the French firemen from Lincolnshire in a small parcel.
