Bicker
Preparatory School and Early years educates children from
the age of three to eleven years.
School
Times
For children in the Nursery school we are able to offer
both full and part-time schooling. There will be a consultation
between the parents and the Head of the Nursery department
to establish which choice of admission is the best suited
for your child. |

A
full day attendance is from 9am until 3pm. The morning session ends
at noon.
For Upper School children at Key Stages 1 and 2 the school day
is from 8.50am until 3.10pm. |

| Arrival
and departure to and from school |
| Early arrival facilities and after school clubs are available for your convenience. |
| Children
are expected to arrive at school at 8.45am. First period of
work commences at 8.50am. |
Parents
bringing children by car are asked to please enter the village
by Red Lion Street and exit using Monument Road. This system
will alleviate traffic problems and disruption to the residents
of School Lane.
If your child is to be collected by someone other than yourself
it is essential that the Headteacher is informed.

Discipline
To
encourage a sense of order in any establishment, discipline
is exercised. Children need to know what is and what is not
expected of them. Self discipline is the ultimate goal.

Parents
Parents
and visitors are always welcome but it is advisable to make
an appointment first.
There are regular termly Open Evenings for parents to discuss
children's progress.
Clothing
and personal belongings
Our
school uniform is smart and business like and must be named
and worn at all times during school time, no substitutes will
be acceptable.
Uniform is available from John Lewis in Peterborough.
Tracksuits and polo shirts for P.E., school hats, badges, ties, scarves, legionnaire sun hats, recorders and book bags are available from school. |

Children
are asked not to bring money or valuables to school. |

Food
A mid-morning snack is encouraged throughout the school, a piece of fruit or similar and a drink is recommended. Children of non-statutory school age may opt to have a carton of chilled milk at snack time if they so wish.
Full time pupils can enjoy our hot meals service or bring their own packed lunch, if required.
(Please note that lunch boxes are stored within the classroom, therefore it is advisable to provide your child with an insulated lunch box complete with ice packs in order to maintain a cool temperature within the box.)
