Bicker Preparatory School and Early years educates children from the age of three to eleven years.

School Times
For children in the Nursery school we are able to offer both full and part-time schooling. There will be a consultation between the parents and the Head of the Nursery department to establish which choice of admission is the best suited for your child.

A full day attendance is from 9am until 3pm. The morning session ends at noon.
For Upper School children at Key Stages 1 and 2 the school day is from 8.50am until 3.10pm.

Arrival and departure to and from school
Early arrival facilities and after school clubs are available for your convenience.
Children are expected to arrive at school at 8.45am. First period of work commences at 8.50am.
Parents bringing children by car are asked to please enter the village by Red Lion Street and exit using Monument Road. This system will alleviate traffic problems and disruption to the residents of School Lane.
If your child is to be collected by someone other than yourself it is essential that the Headteacher is informed.

Discipline

To encourage a sense of order in any establishment, discipline is exercised. Children need to know what is and what is not expected of them. Self discipline is the ultimate goal.
The Headteacher has the right to remove a child in extreme circumstances

Parents

Parents and visitors are always welcome but it is advisable to make an appointment first.
There are regular termly Open Evenings for parents to discuss children's progress.

Food

A mid-morning snack is encouraged throughout the school, a piece of fruit or similar and a drink is recommended. Children of non-statutory school age may opt to have a carton of chilled milk at snack time if they so wish.

Full time pupils can enjoy our hot meals service or bring their own packed lunch, if required.

(Please note that lunch boxes are stored within the classroom, therefore it is advisable to provide your child with an insulated lunch box complete with ice packs in order to maintain a cool temperature within the box.)
